Volunteers make it happen,
Volunteers are desperately needed for the success of our Mission to feed Military Veterans and Surviving Spouses.
Volunteer Service hours are:
8 am – 4 pm
12 noon – 4 pm
Complete your Community Service requirements or just come to Make a Difference in the life of a Military Veteran.
A typical day at VSTN requires the sorting and packing of groceries, personal hygiene & household items for distribution. We are always cleaning and stocking the food area and Thrift Store, making ‘goodie bags’ and helping Military Veterans select their items and load their groceries.
We pack over 500 grocery and protein bags per month. Our work is very physical and we can not fulfill our Mission without Volunteers.
We always have lots of work and special projects that require ‘special skills’ and muscle. Our staff really appreciates it when strong bodies can come and help out with the ‘heavy lifting’ and physically challenging projects.
We welcome and appreciate special skills and talents. If you have computer or skilled trade abilities to offer, we can use all the help we can get.
VSTN is NOT Third Party funded. We do NOT receive regular City, State, County, Federal or United Way funding.
We are forced to handle operations, maintenance and repairs on a very limited (and sometimes non existent) budget. Materials and special skills are very rare but desperately needed for the success of our Mission.
We THANK YOU in advance for the greatest GIFT of Volunteering your TIME to Making a Difference for our Military Veterans.
